Thank you for your interest in the Coachella Valley Certified Farmers’ Markets! Whether you’ve visited our Markets in Palm Springs, Palm Desert or La Quinta or heard about us through social media or word of mouth, we’d like to affirm that all of our Market sites are filled with the best farmers, vendors and customers in the desert. That’s by design, because we take meticulous care to make sure the folks we include understand our guiding principal of GMO Free Farms First and that the products they bring enhance it.
When we started the CFM’s we knew they had to be different from all of the other outdoor events in the greater Palm Springs area. We wanted them to be “real” farmers markets – evoking a time before grocery stores and fast food. Back when farmers brought their bounty into town, just after harvest, at the peak of season. And the people living in communities near the farms made the agricultural way of life possible, by attending the local markets week after week – putting their hard earned food budget money directly into the hand of the person who grew/raised it. Those customers were rewarded with the best tasting, highest quality produce their area offered – and our current day customers are too, every week at our CFMCV’s!

Drake Family Farms cheeses are both “farmstead” and “artisan”. “Farmstead” means made on the farm with milk exclusively from the farm’s own animals. According to the American Cheese Society, the word “artisan or artisanal” implies that a cheese is produced primarily by hand, in small batches, with particular attention paid to the tradition of the cheese maker’s art, and thus using as little mechanization as possible in the production of the cheese

JF Organic Farms, Inc. is a family owned and operated business established in Southern California in 1997. Our number one goal is to provide an all organic line of vegetables, fruits, eggs, and more to local farmer markets, wholesalers, private chefs, CSAs and restaurants.
Grown in the heart of Fallbrook, California or, “The Avocado Capital of the World,” our produce reflects our commitment to growing the best fruit for our customers. We practice organic standards; for example we are self sustainable, employ crop rotation, do not use any chemicals or pesticides, and compost and use our chicken manure to fertilize our orchard. Our fruits are always fresh picked and never waxed.
We are here to provide you with the highest quality produce we can, through our CSA program and through any of our many farmers’ market locations throughout the Riverside, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. We hope that you explore our webpage and become as excited and passionate about local, organic food, as we are. It is our mission to promote a healthier community through our

Together, Doug Powell and Tom Archibald, with help from their immediate family, have combined years of farming experience to create T&D Farms.
Located in Redlands, Ca, we are in fertile soil to grow fresh produce for our customers. T&D Farms does not use sprays, pesticides, or GMOs, but rather grows the “Old Fashioned Way.” We grow seasonally, rotating our compost-fed crops spacing them closer together to naturally grow in abundance.
Like many of the people who help us farm, we believe that our customers should be treated like family. We grow as a family so that our customers can grow in their own communities.
Additionally, we sell our produce at several southern CA certified local farmers’ markets and provide local restaurants with fresh, seasonal produce.

Value Added Vendors
Some farms that participate in our Markets drive between 50–100 miles to get here. Due to extreme weather conditions and land value most small scale agriculture is not in the low desert. It was clear that we needed to include other participants, but rather than compete with the farms making a significant financial investment by attending, we wanted our VAV’s (Value Added Vendors) to support our farmers while providing diversity in our Market offerings. That’s why we require that all VAV’s use ingredients sourced from small California farms in their products. Ask the vendors about their collaborative practices – some of our VAV’s are actually our most loyal customers, and can trace almost everything they make back to farms within their line of sight.
Becoming A CFMCV Farmer or Vendor
If you can answer yes to all of these questions, you may be a candidate for our markets:
- Do you make/grow/raise/etc. the product yourself? (At present, we are not accepting applications for the sale of non-food products or services. We welcome applications for Certified Farms and Prepared Foods meeting our criteria.)
- Is your product(s) made/grown/raised locally (at a minimum, in CA)?
- Is your product(s) GMO-free?
Keep in mind that submitting an application does not guarantee inclusion in our Markets, but is an important step in the careful process we use to make sure our commodity mix is the best for our farmers, vendors and customers alike. We have enjoyed a stellar reputation for quality over the years and are dedicated to maintaining that standard.
